Categories Announced for AR. Awards 2012 Asia Pacific
Voting for category winners now open

Today, the Airline Retail Conference (ARC), the most focused networking platform for airline buyers and suppliers, has announced the categories for the first ever Airline retail Awards (AR.Awards) for the Asia-Pacific region. The awards, in association with the Airline Retail Conference 2012 (ARC2012) Asia-Pacific in Singapore, follow on from the success of the inaugural AR.Awards which took place in London last June.
There will be nine categories for awards. The first five are to be voted on by ARC delegates in advance of the conference and the last four are to be balloted exclusively by show attendees on Tuesday 7th February. The nine categories are:
- Best Airline for Inflight Retail 2012
- Best Airline for Inflight Food & Beverage 2012
- Best Inflight Concessionaire 2012
- Best Inflight Agent or Distributor 2012
- Airline Retail Personality of the Year 2012
ARC2012 Asia-Pacific voted awards:
- Best Inflight Product – Retail
- Best Inflight Product – Food
- Best Inflight Product – Beverage
- Best NEW Inflight Product
“We are really excited to be running an awards programme specifically for the Asia Pacific region”, said Alex Vail, Airline Retail Conference Director. “Following on from the success and feedback from last year’s awards in London, and the tremendous growth and influence of the Asia Pacific airline retail market, it was clear we needed to create a similar awards programme, to celebrate innovation and excellence in this booming region”.

Online voting for the open awards closes at midnight on 2nd February 2012. Nominees will be announced shortly afterwards and winners will be announced at a special gala dinner in Singapore on 7th February 2012.
